And that's a wrap!

I started watching my MacGyver DVD's in March of 2008. It is now May 31, 2010, and I just finished watching the very last episode. I'm done! I'm going to hold off on watching any other shows on DVD for now. I haven't decided what I'll watch next, but I had an idea for Scrubs a few weeks ago. Not sure if I'll go with it or not though.

Now, I'm going to cut down my most ragged pair of jeans into shorts, put on my bathing suit with the shorts, and wash and clean out the Bug.

New Update

The mystery shopping thing fell through--half-way through my week-long free trial, I still hadn't even looked into any shops, so I called them and asked that the thing be cancelled.

This week marks the first week at my new job where we are not allowed to have over-time. We got done a lot of huge orders last week, and apparently that marks the end of the fall/winter rush, since some of my co-workers are telling me that it'll be pretty slow until at least the end of February. Looks like I'll have to budget really carefully, but at least this upcoming paycheck will be pretty good.

I'm hoping that all three companies I've worked for this year get their W-2 forms sent out to me by the end of the second week of January. That way, I can do my taxes before February 1st, and the money will come sooner too. I'm hoping that my tax returns will be enough to pay what's left on the Bug so that I won't have to budget as carefully as I do right now. (At $277.07 per month, the Bug currently represents my largest monthly bill--not including my portion of the rent--with the combined total of my credit card bills coming in 2nd.)

If the tax return doesn't cover all of what's left on the Bug, then I'm hoping it at least covers half--that way, my last six payments (January through June) will be less than usual.

Once the car is paid off, then I can focus on paying off my credit cards (Two Visa cards, one Discover, and one JCPenney card--I only use the last two, and only for emergencies--like needing all-new underwear because all of the old ones have holes or stretched-out elastic. The two Visa cards are very old and maxed out.) But that's a plan for next year's tax returns (and probably for a few years after that), and I have no idea what my money situation is going to be by then.

Man, I feel really dumb right now . . .

Last night, Kimba, Kayla, Anna and I went to Chris H's house (Kayla and Anna call him "Tooth") to play SingStar. That went pretty well, and nothing really eventful happened with the singing--except we all discovered that Chris is a bit tone deaf, but that's okay.

Anna left early, and before that I went outside to put antifreeze in my bug. Pretty easy task, right? Just open the hood, open the radiator cap, and pour.

Well, when Kayla and I left Chris's house around 11:30 last night, the bug's temperature light was still screaming at me! I couldn't figure out what the problem was, so I just left it.

This morning, as I was on my way to work, I figured out why my car keeps saying it doesn't have any coolant--in the dark and the late hour last night, I mistook one symbol for another, and accidentally put antifreeze into the windshield wiper fluid reservoir! Man, I feel dumb.

Luckily, I still have some untainted antifreeze left, so I can put that into the radiator today during my lunch break (gotta wait for the engine to cool down first), but I have no idea how I'm going to clear out the wiper fluid reservoir. I'll have to ask my dad when I get home if he has any ideas.

Four Bikes in a Cabrio

Yes, you read that right. We stuffed four bicycles into Anna's Volkswagon Cabrio.

Why?
Because Dad's truck is in the shop, and Anna and Jen wanted to go biking. Not to mention, the bikes wouldn't have fit into the Bug.
When we got back, I took seven pictures. Here's one of them.
