Yet another journal-type place for Darcy to rant, rave, and/or recuperate from the world.

The Shy Man's Voice by DSDragon

Do what the shy men do:
Let the music flow through you
Until you've found anew your
Courage of the world.

Fear not the darksome lurker
That scares the wits of any berserker
,
But instead look toward that
Light of lights
, the music in your soul.

Cry out your love and your devotion,
For not even the poor in spirit need a potion
To help them gain the love of the knocker
Of the knobless door
.

Let love and music fill your heart,
And proclaim it as the timid one's habit:
Tell some lucky one you love them
With a song. . . dag-nab-it!

Ok, so the last word makes it a little funny, but this poem isn't supposed to be THAT serious. It's supposed to make you happy. Just in case you can't guess what the kennings are supposed to mean, here's a key:

The shy man's voice = Music
The darksome lurker = fear, rejection, Satan, all negative emotions and thoughts
That light of lights = What it says in the poem (the music in your soul)
The music in your soul = happiness, love, all good emotions and thoughts
The knocker of the knobless door = Anyone who is willing to love you if you let them (i.e. Christ)
The knobless door = Your heart
The timid one = The shy man
